Expecting Parent Letter

Dear Friends,

You are amazing for giving the miracle of life, one of life’s greatest treasures/blessings.  We consider this one of the most selfless acts of service and love.  With the potential of adopting, we are grateful to have a second chance to bring children into our home.

Thank you for checking out our profile.  Up front, we want to also refer you to our profile on "It's About Love", sponsored by the LDS Family Services Adoption Agency at www.itsaboutlove.org/ial/profiles/25589422/ourMessage.jsf.  This profile system seems to run a bit slower which is where this blog comes in handy as we have the same information here. But please feel free to check out this profile as well. We love emailing and can answer questions if you write to: cameron.kristin.adoption@gmail.com.

We would love to get to know more about you, your likes/dislikes, what you have experienced in your life, and again welcome and encourage your emails.

You may enjoy knowing:

• Our miracle/fairytale meeting (the short version):
Cameron (Cam) and Kristin's dad (Cam's Chaplain) served together in Iraq (military) 2007-2008.  One day at lunch, Kristin's dad asked Cam if he wanted to write to his daughter (Kristin).  Cam agreed and after seven months of writing emails back and forth, and talking/seeing each other on Skype, we (Cam and Kristin) finally met!  We were engaged two weeks after his return home, and married two months after that!  (Kristin met almost all of Cam's family before she met him in person).

We love:
• Time together: reading, tennis, ice skating, temple, biking, hiking, camping, singing, dancing, playing piano, picnics, traveling, gardening, etc.
• Extended family time: family dinners, camping, birthday parties, holiday traditions, games, etc.

Important to us:
• Learning and education: Kristin graduated from BYU and taught kindergarten for 5 years; Cameron is a first year medical student at the University of Utah.
• Loyalty and Patriotism: Kristin grew up with her father in the military and Cam served in the Army for eight years- we love our country and feel so many blessing from living in the U.S.

10 (plus a few) words to describe Kristin:
Loving, delightful, serving, loves children, musician, homemaker, peacemaker (except for when she starts tickle-wars), friend, faithful.

10 (or more) words to describe Cameron:
Charitable, learner, friendly, doctor, football, books, ice cream, cars, Legos, pillow-fighter/tickler, child-magnet (kids adore him), selfless, humble, fun, amazing.

Thank you again for your time and we hope to hear from you. We pray that you will be strengthened and find peace in your journey.

Love,

Cameron and Kristin
